Numinous is the Northwestern State University organization that serves the Wiccan and Neo-Pagan student body. The purpose of Numinous is to provide a safe, structured forum for students of any religious background to come together to discuss Pagan religions, faiths, creeds, and culture as well as the history and future of these topics.
Numinous celebrates full moon Esbats and Sabbaths that occur while school is in session. We have such craft-centered activities as tarot games, making runes and meditation pillows. Each semester we have trance working meditations with Bob Lane. Also, we hold discussions within the club on issues like magical ethics.
But, we are not all ritual and activities. Members of Numinous like to socialize. Whether it is an after-meeting ice cream social or the end of the year party, hanging out and having fun are a big part of Numinous.
If you are interested in joining our merry band of Witches, then look for fliers and posters around campus announcing our meeting times and location.
